Cybersecurity Innovation Fund (CIF-NL)
The Cybersecurity Innovation Fund (CIF-NL) aims to stimulate cybersecurity innovation by providing financial support for Dutch SMEs and research organizations to develop and enhance cybersecurity solutions. Our project, funded by CIF-NL, focuses specifically on automating cybersecurity solutions and secure data sharing. The funding emphasizes these areas to address the need for efficient and privacy-conscious cybersecurity practices in an increasingly digital landscape
Crypto Agility Monitoring and Reporting
The Information and Knowledge Company is developing an online service to provide insight into the encryption of internet communications. During this subsidized project, technical bottlenecks have been addressed, and a solid foundation has been established for receiving, processing, and storing network data at scale. This is done using proven open-source components and proprietary software developed in Python and Java. Consideration has been given to secure, reproducible production, deployment, and management.
The solution is initially focused on small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and aims to start as accessible as possible. The portal therefore offers an upload feature where network traffic scans can be submitted for analysis. Users can easily create this scan themselves using a tool and then upload it. Continuous monitoring is also possible. Users will gain insights into the encryption protocol and version. The system also provides a score for the level of Crypto Agility and how much of the traffic is already encrypted in a Quantum Safe manner. By performing regular scans, users can gain insight into whether adjustments are effective. Additionally, functionality will be added to create an overview within a chain of companies and users.
